Dana Allen enjoys working in commercial and animations roles equally and has professional training in both areas. In her commercial work, she brings warmth, texture, and a unique perspective to every read from conversational to an unexpected quirkiness but always grounded and authentic.

In animation, she specializes in bold, offbeat roles - especially sidekicks, snarky oddballs, and animated weirdos with way too much energy (in the best way). Whether it’s a rule-breaking best friend, a villain with flair, or a heartfelt misfit stealing the scene, she loves finding the spark that makes each character unforgettable.

About Me

I am a fun-loving nerd who has always been fascinated with voice acting - I remember watching cartoons as a kid and thinking “I’d love to voice THAT character” - yes, it was probably the villain.

This led to practicing accents, taking up Muppet-style puppetry (eventually passing the auditions for Sesame Street in college), decades of live theatre and improv classes, getting a degree in puppetry, narrating audiobooks, and ultimately culminated with where I am today. I absolutely love using my voice to bring magic to life.

With my conscientious approach, strong attention to detail and positive outlook on life, I’m able to leap into each new adventure (after looking both ways… and up, just in case) to pursue this passion of mine.

When not recording, I can often be found drawing, listening to an audiobook, playing video games, snuggling my sugar gliders (Mushu and Saphira), watching anime, running (don’t ask how that happened, I still don’t know), and generally looking for the fun in this crazy ride called life.
